The fine print

Accessibility

Plain English should be readable by everyone.

Built in

  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the target.
  • Every text color measured against its background, including the highlighter. The lowest contrast on the site is 6.4 to 1.
  • Every clause uses the same order: the clause, in plain English, why it matters, where you’ll see it.
  • The clause finder has a visible label, labeled buttons, and results that screen readers announce.
  • Statuses and warnings are written in words, never shown by color alone.
  • A clear focus ring on every link and control.

Not tested yet

Nobody who uses a screen reader every day has tested the site yet.
